Country-specific checks
Check that the target and supporting estimate use RWF. For a group collection, ask who controls the receiving wallet and who will publish spending updates.

SenteMe
For personal and community fundraising with campaign pages and contribution records. Check the organiser’s country, receiving wallet and withdrawal checks before sharing a fundraiser. Cards are supported on campaigns where enabled. See the separate fees and possible delays below.
Chango
Its FAQ lists Rwanda among cashout countries and mobile money, cards and bank payments where available. It says there is no app/group holding fee, but carrier or card-issuer charges may apply. Public groups require a registered institution and bank account.

This country is not on GoFundMe’s supported withdrawal-country list. An organiser in a supported country must meet its local residence, banking and identity requirements and explain how funds will reach an overseas beneficiary. Do not create a fundraiser using a false address. Donor location does not determine organiser eligibility. Fees vary by fundraiser country.

From donation to withdrawal
- Mobile money
- Confirmed donations are credited before withdrawal fees. Collection costs are included in the withdrawal deduction. The donor’s operator may also charge a sending fee: check the total on your phone before entering your PIN.
- Cards and overseas donations
- When card payments are available, Stripe Checkout shows eligible methods and currencies. Actual processing fees are deducted before campaign credit. Conversion can change the credit; the estimate excludes later withdrawal deductions. Optional tips go to SenteMe, not the campaign.
- Withdrawals and wallet charges
- The standard deduction is 7.5%. Provider costs and rounding can increase it. The withdrawal screen shows the net payout and limits before confirmation. Cash-out or onward transfers from the wallet may cost extra.
- When are funds available?
- Payment success does not mean immediate withdrawal. Card funds must settle before they become available for withdrawal. The dashboard separates raised, processing and available balances. Identity verification, reviews and provider availability can delay withdrawal; no fixed time is guaranteed.
What does verification mean?
A badge indicates manual campaign review. Identity checks required for withdrawal are separate. Neither guarantees the project’s outcome or the eventual use of funds. Ask who receives the money and how spending will be explained. Do not assume a donation is tax deductible.
