You answer a few quick questions

Name your campaign, set the country, currency, and (optionally) a deadline, choose whether it’s public or private, and pick the MoMo number where the funds should land. We generate a unique payment reference so mobile money statements stay clean. Campaigns start as drafts so you can publish when the committee is aligned.

You share the link in your group

From the dashboard, hit Share. We generate a 1080 by 1080 share-card PNG with running totals and a payment reference, plus a pre-filled WhatsApp text that matches your template framing. Wedding text reads like a wedding committee post. Funeral text leads with an open-target collection. Edit the copy, hit Share to WhatsApp, paste into the group. The share-card refreshes as contributions land. Anyone resharing the link days later sees today totals, not the day-one ones.

The coordinator disburses in tranches

Mobile money payments clear automatically. The treasurer logs cash given at meetings or by hand with one form. In-kind contributions (matooke, chickens, fabric) carry an optional photo and value estimate. When you are ready to disburse, the coordinator picks a recipient (own MoMo, a direct beneficiary, a vendor) and an amount. The dashboard shows available balance live so you cannot over-disburse. Multi-tranche is the default. For a funeral you typically send three or four partial sums before the week is out. Every flow is visible on the public event page. Trust is built by visibility, not by promises.

How much does it cost?
The standard withdrawal deduction is 7.5%; higher provider costs and rounding can increase it. Card processing and conversion costs are separate. Review the breakdown before confirming.
Who holds the money?
Mobile Money contributions are processed through our payment partners. Card and regional payments are collected through Stripe, are processed for SenteMe before becoming available for withdrawal. Card funds become available to withdraw after processing and settlement. The dashboard separates total raised, processing and available balances.
What if I am in the diaspora?
Yes. SenteMe accepts Mobile Money, cards and other payment methods available in your region. Choose Card on the campaign page to see the options in secure checkout. Card processing fees are deducted before campaign credit; withdrawal fees apply separately. Card funds become available to withdraw after processing and settlement.
Is this regulated?
SenteMe is operated by Mea Global Inc. This is donation fundraising, not an investment offering. Payment partners process collections and payouts, and SenteMe applies platform-level identity and risk checks. Company registration and a partner’s authorisation should not be read as a guarantee or a claim that all regulatory obligations are satisfied.
How private is the ledger?
A campaign starts as a draft visible only to its coordinator. When you publish, the running list and disbursements become public to anyone with the link. Contributors can mark themselves anonymous; in-kind items show a label without an account link.
Can I cancel a pledge?
Yes. Pledged contributions stay on the list as pending until paid. The contributor can cancel their own pending pledge, or the coordinator can clean up aging pledges from the dashboard.
