About SenteMe

What is SenteMe?

SenteMe is a fundraising platform built for the way African communities already pool money. One shareable link collects mobile money contributions for weddings, funerals, medical bills, school fees, and any other cause, and a live ledger shows every contribution and withdrawal to the whole group. No more hand-updated lists in the WhatsApp chat.

Common questions

Asked and answered.

Is SenteMe legit?

Yes. SenteMe is operated by Mea Global Inc., a Delaware corporation in the United States. The money itself never sits with SenteMe: every contribution lands in a wallet held by a licensed payment partner and stays there until the coordinator withdraws. Every contribution and every withdrawal is visible on the campaign page, so the whole group can see where the money went. Coordinators must verify their identity before their first withdrawal.

How safe is my money on SenteMe?

Three protections work together. First, funds are held by licensed payment partners regulated in each operating country, not by SenteMe. Second, the ledger is public to everyone with the campaign link: contributions in, withdrawals out, nothing hidden. Third, coordinators pass an identity check with a government ID and a live face match before any withdrawal is released. The full detail is on our trust page.

Who is the founder of SenteMe?

SenteMe was founded in 2026 by Allan Tumuhimbise and is operated by Mea Global Inc., a Delaware corporation. It comes from the same team that runs ProGigFinder, the African jobs and services marketplace.

Do I need a subscription to use SenteMe?

No. There is no subscription and no setup cost. Creating a campaign is free. SenteMe earns one flat 7.5% per contribution, deducted only when the coordinator withdraws.

Can people contribute from abroad with a card?

Not yet. Today contributions are mobile money only, which covers the 12 African countries we operate in. International card support for the diaspora is in progress; you can join the waitlist from any campaign page and we will email you when it goes live.

Is SenteMe the same as Sente?

No. SenteMe is not connected to Sente, a separate Ugandan payments company. SenteMe is the community fundraising platform at senteme.com, operated by Mea Global Inc.

How do withdrawals work?

The coordinator withdraws to their own mobile money number, in one go or in tranches. The dashboard shows the available balance, the 7.5% fee, and exactly what will land before they confirm. Each withdrawal then appears on the public campaign ledger.
