Who operates SenteMe, how payments move, and what campaign review and withdrawal checks establish.
Corporate
SenteMe is a product of Mea Global Inc., a Delaware-registered corporation. SenteMe provides campaign pages, payment coordination and withdrawal tools. Our privacy notice identifies the payment and verification services used.
Money
Mobile Money contributions are processed through our payment partners. Card and regional payments are collected through Stripe, are processed for SenteMe before becoming available for withdrawal. Card funds become available to withdraw after processing and settlement. The dashboard separates total raised, processing and available balances.
Transparency
When a campaign over-raises (a UGX 5,000,000 wedding that collects UGX 5,900,000), the coordinator can re-purpose the surplus, typically to the beneficiary, rolled into a follow-on need, or refunded to contributors. Every pivot is logged in a public Updates tab with the original purpose, the new purpose, the amount affected, and a coordinator note. Trust is built by visibility, not by promises.
Campaign review
SenteMe administrators can review a campaign and assign or remove its review badge. This is a manual campaign review, not a guarantee that every claim is true or that funds will be used as described. Identity verification through Didit is a separate requirement for withdrawals; additional documents may be required. Read the campaign, ask the organiser questions and review updates before donating.
Compliance
SenteMe uses payment partners for collections and payouts. Their services and availability depend on country and payment method. SenteMe applies its own identity and risk checks and can request additional documents or hold withdrawals for review. A payment partner’s authorisation does not by itself establish SenteMe’s regulatory status. Read our AML / CFT policy for the platform’s published controls.
Privacy
Published campaigns display the information chosen for sharing, including contributions and withdrawals. Donors can choose an anonymous display name. A public withdrawal record shows a transfer, not proof of the eventual use of funds. Analytics and advertising measurement are described in our privacy and cookie notices.
