Health Camp in Kole District.

The Lango and Acholi sub-regions of Northern Uganda continue to face a disproportionate burden of disease, exacerbated by limited access to specialized medical care. In response to this, we are organizing a four-day intensive Health Camp at Aboke Health Centre IV from 11th to 14th November 2026. We are writing to formally invite you to make a contribution in this life-saving initiative. Our recent assessments indicate that malaria remains the leading cause of morbidity among both children and adults in these districts. Furthermore, there is a critical silent backlog of surgical cases specifically obstetric fistula, cataracts, and intestinal obstructions, that many rural families cannot afford to treat. These conditions, alongside a rise in non-communicable diseases like diabetes and childhood cancer, demand an urgent, coordinated intervention. The camp aims to serve over 3,000 beneficiaries across all districts in Lango and Acholi. Our primary focus areas include: • Surgical Interventions: Restoring sight through cataract surgery and dignity through fistula repair. • Disease Management: Screening and treatment for Malaria, HIV, Sickle Cell, STIs, and Ulcers. • Cancer Screening: Early detection of Cervical and Childhood cancers. • Social Advocacy: Education on hygiene, sanitation, and the prevention of child marriages. To successfully execute this outreach, we have a projected budget of UGX 158,450,000. We are seeking your support through either: 1. Financial Sponsorship: Contribution toward the procurement of surgical kits and medical supplies. 2. In-Kind Donations: Provision of ACTs, RDTs, or essential medicines. 3. Logistical Support: Assistance with personnel transport or community mobilization.
